Empowering Young GirlsThrough Menstrual Health Awareness

At Utpat Foundation, we are dedicated to raising awareness about menstrual health and hygiene. Through period education, we equip young women with the knowledge and confidence they need to embrace their menstrual journeys. We strive to break the stigma, increase feminine hygiene awareness, and offer essential menstrual health resources to empower every girl with accurate, accessible education.

Join us in our efforts to create a world where girls are confident, supported, and empowered.

Mission Statement

Empowering preteens and teenage girls by raising awareness around menstruation, feminine hygiene, education and related social issues—helping them grow with confidence, knowledge, and dignity.

Who We Are?

We are a nonprofit for menstrual awareness founded by two teenagers who saw firsthand how different—and sometimes lacking—conversations around menstruation can be across cultures and communities. What began as a personal reflection has grown into a mission to promote menstrual health awareness and ensure no girl feels confused, ashamed, or alone.

Through period education for girls, feminine hygiene awareness, and community outreach, we focus on guiding preteens and teenagers, especially in underserved communities, with the tools and support they need. At our core, we believe that access to menstrual hygiene education and reliable menstrual health resources is not a privilege, but a right.

Our Goal

Our goal is simple yet powerful: to normalize conversations around menstruation and provide young girls with the knowledge, resources, and support they need to thrive. We work to close the gap in menstrual health education, especially in communities where stigma and lack of information are still widespread.

In addition to educational content, we are committed to promoting menstrual equity and advocating for long-term, systemic change. We believe that menstrual dignity is a fundamental right, not a privilege, and we are working to ensure that right is upheld for every girl.

We also recognize the urgent need for access to menstrual products among preteens and teenagers. Through strategic partnerships and grassroots fundraising efforts, we strive to provide menstrual hygiene products and raise sanitary napkin awareness among marginalized individuals who might otherwise go without. By combining education with access, we aim to remove the barriers preventing young girls from participating fully in school, society, and their development.

Menstruation is a natural part of life, yet millions of girls around the world still face shame, misinformation, and limited access to basic menstrual care. Without early and accurate education, many preteens and teenagers grow up feeling confused, isolated, or embarrassed about their bodies.

Our work is important because it changes that reality. Through education, advocacy, and increased feminine hygiene awareness, we’re creating space for girls to feel seen, respected, and take ownership of their health and choices from a young age.

Building a Community of Change

It Starts With Us—And You

At Utpat Foundation, we believe meaningful change is built through collaboration. That’s why we actively seek partnerships with individuals, organizations, schools, and companies who share our vision of a world where menstruation is met with understanding. By joining forces, we can amplify our reach and deepen our impact.

We invite you to be part of this growing movement. Let’s engage in open conversations, share our experiences, challenge old stigmas, and help reshape the narrative around menstruation. Together, we can create a world where menstrual health awareness is the norm and periods are no longer taboo, but a celebrated part of life.

Breaking Silence, Building Confidence

01.

It Happens to Half the World. Let's Normalize it

Menstruation is a natural part of life for half of the world’s population, yet it’s often treated as a taboo subject. At Utpat Foundation, we believe it’s time to normalize conversations around periods, eliminating the shame and stigma that make it hard for girls to speak openly and confidently about their health.

02.

Girls Shouldn't Have to Put Life on Hold for Periods

Too many girls miss school, sports, and activities because of a lack of access to menstrual products or private spaces to manage their periods. We are committed to addressing these barriers, ensuring that girls have the resources and confidence to continue their lives uninterrupted, no matter the time of the month.

03.

Informed Girls Become Empowered Mothers

When girls receive proper period education, they’re not only equipped to handle their own menstrual health but are also prepared to educate the next generation. Our mission is to empower today’s girls with knowledge so they can grow into confident mothers who will confidently share accurate information with their daughters.

04.

Every Girl Needs a Safe Space to Talk

Some girls don’t have the support system to discuss menstruation comfortably, whether due to family dynamics or lack of close role models. Our platform provides a safe, open space for those girls to ask questions and get reliable, non-judgmental information that helps them feel supported and understood.

05.

Sanitary Pads Shouldn't Be a Luxury

Access to sanitary products should be a basic right, not a privilege. We are dedicated to making menstrual products available to all girls, particularly in underserved communities, through partnerships and fundraising. Our goal is to eliminate barriers to menstrual hygiene, ensuring no girl has to miss out on life due to lack of access.
