2 teenagers dedicated to promoting menstrual awareness.

Mission Statement: We wish to raise awareness amongst preteens and teenager young girls of various challenging issues (including but not limited to) feminine hygiene, menstruation, education and other social issues.

We hope and strive to help them understand and embrace their coming-of-age experiences, dispel fears, increase their self-confidence by understanding sensitive issues and in turn, make an impact on the society and eventually, world-at-large through our menstrual hygiene awareness campaign.

Knowledge is power. Empower yourself through education and awareness.

We are a nonprofit organization started by 2 teenagers dedicated to promoting menstrual awareness and advocating for menstrual health and hygiene amongst preteens and teenage young girls.

We provide period education to underserved communities, promote sanitary napkin awareness, and generally talk about women’s menstrual health education.

At the heart of our menstrual health awareness mission lies the belief that every preteen and teenager girl deserve access to accurate information, quality products, and a supportive community to navigate their menstrual journey with confidence and dignity.

Our goal, through this platform, is to create a wealth of information, resources, and tools to increase menstrual awareness and foster open conversations about menstruation. We will be using variety of different media channels such as blogging, podcasting and YouTube videos to run our menstrual hygiene awareness campaign.

Childhood exposure and education in the school made us aware of the importance of this topic. We believe that education and awareness about menstrual health is the key to dispelling myths, eliminating shame, and addressing the challenges faced by menstruators.

Childhood exposure and education in the school made us aware of the importance of this topic. We believe that education and awareness is the key to dispelling myths, eliminating shame, and addressing the challenges faced by menstruators.

In addition to educational content, we are committed to promoting menstrual equity and advocating for positive change.

We also recognize the importance of ensuring access to menstrual products for preteen and teenager girl in need. Through our partnerships and fundraising efforts, we are striving to provide menstrual hygiene products and raise sanitary napkin awareness among marginalized communities and underprivileged individuals who may otherwise struggle to afford them. We believe that menstrual dignity is a fundamental right that should be accessible to all.

We believe in the power of collaboration, and we actively seek partnerships with like-minded organizations, individuals, and companies that share our vision. By joining forces, we can amplify our impact and create a world where every woman can navigate her menstrual journey with confidence, dignity, and pride.

We encourage you to join our vibrant community, engage in discussions, and share your experiences. Together, we can challenge societal norms, champion menstrual equity, and create a world where menstruation is not a taboo topic but a celebrated part of human life.

What is the futuristic outlook?

Overall, the goal is to raise awareness, dispel the taboo, uncover the misinformation – we want this topic to be more openly talked about in places like India, Africa, Latin America, US and other countries and not considered as the taboo.

#1 Half of the population in the world is Women and all of them go through it at some point in life time and yet, this topic gets talked in such hushed tones that it’s almost an embarrassment and this is what they would like to address.

#2 The mental fears or physical pans girls go through is the one we would like to do something about. Things such as access to menstrual products that are not readily available in the schools, bathrooms or community facilities. It is not uncommon to miss schools or have a hesitation to go to sports or extracurricular activities.

As an example, if the safe changing of pads or availability of pads are not there, girls will perhaps drop out of sports.

#3 – At some point, teenager girl child is going to become a mother. So she, herself, needs to become more comfortable to talk about it and she can be an educated mom to their daughters.

#4 We share a great bond between us, as sisters, Thus, we were able to talk about these issues comfortably. Imagine a situation where there is a single daughter or brother and a sister in a joint family or in a family of a single dad or a single mother, a girl can certainly have lots of questions and will feel constrained. In these cases, a girl child is left alone and she might be looking for more info or looking for someone who she can relate to. We hope to fill those gaps through our website.

#5 As we seek out sponsors and funding partners, we want to make sanitary pads universally available. Hopefully, we can bring our ideas to fruition and more girls can identify themselves through our website platform to make everyone’s lives and mental health more comfortable.

Thank you for visiting our site. Together, let’s break the silence, challenge the norms, and create a future where menstrual health is embraced and girls and women become confident persons and are celebrated.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our menstrual health and hygiene awareness campaign focuses on supporting, uplifting, educating, and empowering undeserved communities through period education.

Our work is multifaceted, focusing on the educational aspect as well as the social stigma around periods and menstruation. We’ve created a variety of resources that are available online through our website, YouTube, etc. that are intended to make the conversation about menstrual health awareness easier and more accessible, especially for young girls and their elders, including older sisters, mothers, aunts, and teachers.

However, we also have campaigns with other non-profits that aim to educate young women and preteen girls about what a period is, what they should expect, what’s healthy and normal, where to find resources, and raise awareness about sanitary napkins.

Our campaign is incredibly diverse and focused on real-life problems on the ground. We’re working to break and challenge the stigma around menstruation, promote women’s menstrual health educationand teach women how to use these products without fear. Our goal is to ensure that young girls and women are able to lead full lives, continuing their education and work, without worrying about having to drop out or stay home while they menstruate.

We’re also working to change attitudes that indicate getting a period means a girl is old enough to get married or have children by combating period poverty, dispelling myths, and misinformation, and launching menstrual hygiene awareness initiatives.

While we are based in the US, and have a global audience, our primary projects are in India. We have campaigns and projects targeting period education for undeserved communities in Mumbai and have partnered with non-profits based in India to accomplish this.

We’re committed to changing narratives around menstruation and encouraging women and girls to be proud of their bodies and menstrual health and hygiene with greater awareness and knowledge. Ultimately, our work is meant to challenge social stigma and shame that is rampant in many countries such as India, Pakistan, Latin America and various nations in Africa.

You can find more details about our work, such as the AmhiMuli project running in Chunanbhatti, Mumbai, India, here. We’ve also shared photos and videos from our project pages.

Our other work is based online so as to make it accessible to anyone, anywhere, and get the conversation around women’s menstrual health and hygiene awareness going.
