Through our Utpat Foundation nonprofit work, we found that many schoolgirls were missing school due to either a lack of access to menstrual products or their parents not having enough funds to buy menstrual pads. It resulted in them falling academically behind and decreasing their participation in extracurricular activities. And we are glad to say that we are reversing this trend for good by doing our part. Supporting nonprofit organizations that donate menstrual products ensures that young girls have the resources to attend school consistently. Regular attendance fosters learning, encourages engagement, and provides opportunities for personal growth, helping girls reach their full potential despite financial or social barriers.
Boosting Confidence and Self-Esteem
Periods can be stressful, especially when girls feel unprepared or ashamed. Access to sanitary products helps reduce anxiety, allowing girls to participate fully in school, social activities, and community events. Through our Utpat Foundation, we launched initiatives to provide sanitary pads to marginalized communities, instilling confidence by showing girls that their health and hygiene matter. We found that when girls feel secure during menstruation, they can focus on learning, building friendships, pursuing hobbies, and engaging in extracurricular activities without fear of embarrassment.
Promoting Health and Dignity
Utpat Foundation is a nonprofit organization donating menstrual products, giving girls the tools and knowledge to manage their periods safely. Through our initiatives at Utpat Foundation, we also realized that a lack of access to clean products was leading to infections and discomfort. We are making every effort to raise awareness of proper menstrual hygiene. Beyond health, access to products provides dignity, reinforcing the message that menstruation is normal and should not limit participation in daily life.

Supporting Community Awareness
Donating menstrual products often goes hand-in-hand with education. Through our community initiatives at Utpat Foundation, we are trying to raise awareness about menstrual health, hygiene, and the social challenges girls face. Our goal is to combine donations with menstrual awareness programs for schools, so that we can create a lasting impact, helping girls understand their bodies, maintain cleanliness, and feel supported by their communities. Education, combined with resources, can break cycles of stigma, absenteeism, and embarrassment.
Make a Difference Through Menstrual Donations
We are Nishka Utpat and Kaanchi Utpat, two teenage sisters who have started a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity called Utpat Foundation. Our goal is to raise awareness among preteens and teenage girls about nonprofit organizations that donate menstrual products, provide education, and address other social issues. Through our efforts, we strive to help young girls understand their coming-of-age experiences, dispel fears, and build confidence in managing their menstrual health. The Utpat Foundation also runs a podcast, Girlhood Unfiltered, available on Apple iTunes, Spotify, Google Podcasts, and Amazon Audible. Additionally, we have a YouTube channel, Utpat Sisters, with over 4.7k subscribers and more than 279k views, dedicated to empowering young girls through education and awareness.
